Tao Te Drum by David Korup

This is my rhythm book and two CD set. The book has 26 rhythms laid out in an easy to understand format. I have included some information about each rhythm gathered from different sources along with some of my own personal thoughts and observations. There are two CDs that accompany the book, one is a basic beginner CD and the other is an intermediate advanced CD. The basic CD has the 26 rhythms played by me at a very steady, easy to learn speed. Each track has one rhythm played with the variations listed in the book and I play them on one drum without any accompaniment or overdubbing. The intermediate-advanced CD has each rhythm played at different speeds, with different levels of fill and more advanced playing techniques. Each track is still played by me with the same drum and no accompaniment or overdubbing so that you can hear some of the fills and sounds I put into a performance. I have included three extra tracks on the end of the second CD that have me stringing together different rhythms to help give you ideas about keeping it interesting and for dancers to practice with and use in performance if they wish.

The book and CD set are available for purchase through me for $30 + $5 shipping inside the US. At this point, cash, check or money order are accepted. I am still figuring out how to work my e-commerce site which will take credit cards and do other nifty things!
